The two pictured above are Allen and Violet Large. They are 75 and 78 years old. In July of 2010, they won the lottery. 11,255,272 dollars. You're more likely to die on your way to buy a lottery ticket than you are to actually win the lottery. Even more jaw dropping, is what the Large couple did with their winnings. According to People Magazine, this humble couple from Canada "divided the winnings between 14 family members and 63 Canadian-based organizations, ranging from the fire stations in their hometown of Truro to the regional hospital". According to Violet, they wanted to share the money with the people who treat them well. So far the couple has not spent a dime on themselves. Most of you are probably thinking what I did: THEY MUST BE CRAZY!!!! If it were me, I'd be on my private jet on the way to Necker Island right now. Not Violet though. She said, "We have everything we need; I have Allen, and he has me."
It seems Violet already had all the riches she needed in the world before winning the lottery.
