I'm not going to lie, this morning it was a struggle to tear myself away from my cozy bed. Within five minutes of waking up, Sara and I headed to Starbucks for a little pick-me-up. Elena and Jacqui invited us to explore the El Yunque rainforest. After some debating, Sam convinced us it would be worth it, God was she right. Elena picked us up and we were on our way. To our surprise, we stopped at a beautiful beach for a couple of hours before the rainforest. The beach was perfect, complete with tall palm trees, white sand and clear, blue ocean. The girls and I ate lunch at a little vendor on the beach and had the most amazing chicken on a stick (I do not know the proper name). It was the cheapest meal of the trip but probably one of the best. After the beach and a delicious strawberry, mango smoothie, we drove to the rainforest. The hike to the natural waterfall was beautiful. You could hear the water rushing, the frogs "ko-ke" sounds and various other creatures stirring. The lush, green environment surrounding us was a sight to appreciate. The air smelt fresh and clean. When we finally reached the waterfall we were all stunned by it's beauty. Of course, Kim took the first jump into the freezing cold water. Shortly afterwards, we were all swimming. The water was ice cold but felt incredibly refreshing.
AT NIGHT: After a long day at the waterfall we really had to motivate to get dressed and go out. BUT we were excited for our first club experience in Puerto Rico. Elena and Jacqui took us to a club called Brava. It was a beautiful venue with two floors and a DJ booth suspended in the air. There were colorful, neon lights all over the ceiling. The highlight of the night was when the bouncers cleared all the dancing bodies off the stage and introduced Puerto Rican Reggaeton artists called Alexis Y Fido . I couldn't understand a word they were saying but the beat was awesome. After the performance we decided to head home. Our feet were in excruciating pain and we were all exhausted after a long but unforgettable day.

This picture is beautiful... you're really making me want to go there someday!
